SUGGESTED FABRICS: The Denim Jacket Sewing Patterns with Lining is designed to be made in firm fabrics such as denim or 100% cotton denim. It was also possible to cut and sew on other thick and firm fabrics such as corduroy, raincoats, canvas and even vinipiel or imitation leather. The lining molds are designed for imitation sheep or fleece fabrics, polar or thick and warm fabrics.
NOTIONS: Metallic buttons or brooches, taffeta lining (for the sleeves if you want it lighter) imitation lamb lining or other thick and thermal fabrics for lining bodies if you wish, plus good quality threads.

Sewing lining instructions
-
- Prepare / stitch collar lining piece to collar denim piece. Add fusible or interfacing to denim piece
- Prepare / stitch pocket lining pieces
- Join / stitch by shoulder back piece to front pieces
- Join / stitch sleeve pieces
- Join / stitch the sides of the front and back closing the body of the lining, then join the sleeves.
Sewing Jacket instructions to follow
Note: The facing front piece is optional in case the jacket will not be sewn with lining. If it goes with lining, the front facing piece is the fusible interfacing to place in that place and strengthen the front of the jacket. Likewise, if the jacket is not going to be lined, the neck piece should be cut twice more once in fusible interfacing fabric.
- Add fusible or interfacing to respective pieces. Collar, cuff, flaps, bias pocket, waistband, placket, etc..
- Prepare / stitch collar pieces.
- Prepare / stitch placket of waistband pieces
- Prepare / stitch lining pocket pieces to facing and bias pieces.
- Prepare / stitch sleeve pieces, then make an easy stitch at cup zone to gather a little matching with each armhole.
- Prepare / stitch cuff pieces.
- Prepare / stitch the pieces of the pocket flaps
- Join / stitch front side pieces at each front piece; then join these front pieces with the center piece in front.
- Prepare / stitch side pockets pieces to front side pieces, joining lining pieces.
- Prepare / stitch the internal parts of the pocket in front of the front piece.
- Join / stitch the front piece to yoke piece, taking care to sew the pockets and flaps of them
- Add fusible to the center front piece.
- Join / stitch back side pieces at each center back piece
- Join / stitch back yoke to back pieces
- Join / stitch by shoulder seam the front and back pieces.
- Join / stitch collar piece at neckline.
- Join / stitch by side edge the front and back jacket pieces
- Join / stitch sleeves at each armhole.
- Join / stitch the lining to the jacket, starting with the seam of each front of the jacket taking care to close the neckline very well to give a fine finish to the lapels.
- Then you must fix the sleeves to the seam of each fist and finally, fixing the lining to the seam of the waist of the jacket.
- Join / stitch cuff pieces.
- Join /stitch waistband piece.
- Place the snaps or make buttonholes and add buttons.
- Do final details and press.
